Half of our 4th of July was good, the other half felt a lot like cleaning up poo. Oh wait, we actually did clean up poo. After getting our little guy dressed in his Independence Day outfit, we decided to get out of the house for a bit. Come to find out, it only takes 1 hour or less to completely soil our house with dog poo. Henry, the poor guy, had explosive messiness all over our house while we were away. It was clear he ran from door to door, window to window, wall to wall looking for some place to go... all the while, going :-/.
We were a little overwhelmed at first, but took it in stride. About 3 1/2 hours later, we had wet vac'ed our house back to normal. The whole while, our little Independence Day baby was dressed in red white and blue and being a doll. We finished up the night watching fireworks all through the neighborhood. What else can we say--it was a memorable day :-).

A little belated but CONGRATULATIONS! Jackson is precious and it sounds like the next stage in your family is off to an exciting start! Enjoy! (Here is my parenting/dog tip - Oxyclean!)
Take Care,
Kathy
